MELBOURNE BEACH, Fla., October 5, 2026. Aquarina Country Club has won the inaugural H3 US Open Cup, a three week fundraising challenge among Central Florida country clubs benefiting H3 Sports, an Orlando based nonprofit that provides free tennis instruction and academic tutoring to underserved kids.

Taking place during the 2026 US Open, members at participating clubs gave directly to H3 Sports, with every gift tracked toward their club's total on a live scoreboard. Aquarina Country Club topped the field in both categories, drawing more individual donors and raising more total dollars than any other participating club.

"Aquarina Country Club’s members showed up for our kids in a big way, and we are grateful for every gift," said Coach Sid Newcomb, founder of H3 Sports. "This challenge was never about one winner. Our kids are the real winners here. Every gift means one more child gets on the court and gets the tutoring they need."

As the inaugural winner, Aquarina Country Club will keep the H3 Cup trophy at the club for the year, engraved with the club's name and the year they won. Each year, the trophy moves to the next winning club, building a running record of Central Florida's most generous clubs one year at a time.

About H3 Sports

H3 Sports is an Orlando based, 501(c)(3) nonprofit that uses sport, tennis in particular, to build character and opportunity in kids who would not otherwise have access to it. Its National Junior Tennis and Learning chapter serves elementary school kids at the Rock Lake Neighborhood Center in downtown Orlando, where every child in the program receives free tennis instruction and academic tutoring, funded by private donors and supported by the USTA Foundation.

H3 Sports was founded by Coach Sid Newcomb, who spent six years as the National Director of Coaching for the USPTA, developing and certifying tennis coaches across the country. In 2019, Racquet Sports Magazine named him National Tennis Professional of the Year. He started H3 Sports because kids in Orlando's underserved neighborhoods deserve the same access to sport, mentorship, and academic support as kids anywhere else.

Though the inaugural H3 US Open Cup has concluded, the need it supports has not. Anyone who would like to support H3 Sports can give directly at h3-sports.org or through the H3 Cup giving page at givebutter.com/2026H3Cup. Every gift funds tennis instruction and tutoring for a child in the program.
